Windsurf holidays on Lake Garda

Staying at one of our recommended hotels, appartments or campsites you'll be 5 minutes walk from our beach and able to windsurf from early morning until the evening. Using modern equipment and with access to formal instruction and coaching you'll benefit from Lake Garda, its clear, wide open waters and dependable winds. Non-windsurfers or occasional windsurfers will find plenty of other things to do, on or off the water, or just relaxing.

Learn to windsurf, improve your skills or free-sail at our windsurf centre on Lake Garda

Our sailing centre is located in a warm, sunny location with morning and afternoon winds. Intermediate to advanced windsurfers will enjoy the strong morning winds, typically Force 4 to 5 while all can enjoy the afternoon wind which is typically Force 3 - 4.

Our launching areas are designed for beginners and experts to easily get afloat, whether the wind is from the North or from the South. Our sheltered bay protects beginners and is a beautiful location for all windsurfers whether you want to learn, improve or just chill. A few metres offshore you can find the stronger winds and blast across the 5km reaches that Garda is so famous for. Learning here is quick, easy and fun. The whole family or group can windsurf together or choose other options such as dinghy, catamaran, kayak, SUP or biking.

Official test centre for Starboard boards and Severne sails

We are the only location on Lake Garda which can offer the world-leading ranges of Starboard boards and Severne sails. Our boards and sails are new each year and are chosen for their suitability for Lake Garda and can be matched in hundreds of combinations, to suit beginners of all age, weight and athleticism or to provide planing thrills in most conditions for experienced windsurfers.

Malcesine, Lake Garda - definitely the best place for a windsurfing holiday

With a 95% certainty of wind on the lake every day, a play area of tens of kilometres and the conveniences and attractions of an established holiday area, Malcesine is the best place to be for keen windsurfers and for all the family.

Shorts or a bikini, a rash vest, sunglasses and buoyancy aid are all that are required for windsurfing in the afternoon.
A shortie is recommended for early morning sailors but those who prefer to go for a run or a bike ride will love the 20km cycle path along the lakefront before the sun comes over the hill.

Our windsurf centre is at the Malcesine Sailing Centre, just north of the town of Malcesine, which means full toilet and changing facilities and an excellent restaurant. There are spaces to relax and catch the rays or to watch others begin their own windsurfing journeys. Navene, with a bar and two restaurants, is 300m north along the cycle path while Campagnola with more hotels and restaurants is 400m south.
