Europa Holidays clients can pre-book a package in £ Sterling or rent at the beach (in Euros) and receive a 10% discount
Rental prices change annually. Please check Europa Surf and Sail for current prices.
Dinghies will only be rented to sailors with sufficient experience to launch and leave safely from our beach.
Our RYA Level 2 course or VDWS ‘Grundschein’ provide a certificate that we and other centres recognize as confirming this level of competence.
Europa dinghy rental and training fleet
A brief summary of each boat is provided below. The entire range is renowned for its high build quality, attention to detail and incredible value for money. For more details on a specific boat, visit the Topper UK website. We can help you choose from this wide range to best suit the sailing conditions, your skill levels and the type of sailing that you want to do. For some of our courses you will use single-handed boats while for others there can be up to four students in a boat (either with an instructor or by yourselves).
Dinghies for beginners, improvers and advanced sailors
Whether you pre-book or book when you get here, everything you need is included in the price and is at the beach. Buoyancy aids, wetsuits (shorty wetsuits are advised in all but the hottest weather), boots and gloves come with the package, along with a friendly smile and help to launch.
Boats are rigged for you and we’ll launch you and usually catch you when you return. We only ask that you read our safety and launch and return notes before you set out for the first time.
We offer courses to learn basic sailing, achieve internationally recognised qualifications from the RYA and the VDWS. We can introduce you to gennakers and trapezing in many different boat types and most weather conditions.
Your instructor will choose a suitable dinghy for all training and courses, based upon comfort levels and the aim of the session.
Have you considered catamarans, windsurfing or our WASZP ?
Renting a sailing dinghy
When hiring to sail by yourselves, please consider the size of the lake and the likelihood of stronger winds towards the middle. Also ask yourself:
- What is the forecast? We can provide you with an English translation.
- Are you familiar with centreboard dinghies?
- Do all of your group have the same expectations and experience? (many will not thank you for an exciting capsize)
- Should you reef? You can usually remove the reef on the water once you are confident of the conditions.
We can reef boats for rental and often reef for training courses. Feeling comfortable is the most important thing.
